Annual Review December 2001

A Message from the Chairman...

2001 has been a year of growth and many changes.  We have opened a new branch office in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and moved our St Ives, Cambridgeshire branch to more spacious premises in the same town.  Setting up our office in Huddersfield has really boosted our ability to provide a nation-wide service.

Bob Long, Chairman, Robert Long Consultancy

Elizabeth Simmons joined us from Enviros Aspinwall in August as Project Director, based at Huddersfield.  She brings a wealth of experience in consultancy, project management and business development.  Paul Hardwick from Lyndhurst and Selena Smith from St Ives have relocated to Huddersfield and we are recruiting new staff to join the team.

Jon Clark, Project Director, has relocated from Lyndhurst to St Ives.  Jon continues to be responsible for the company’s engineering services nationally and has in addition, taken on business development in Eastern England - ably assisted by Ray Trott, Senior Development Engineer, who joined us in January.

I am particularly pleased that over the last twelve months six of our staff have earned promotions and we have widened our client base.  We have welcomed new clients of four kinds; waste management contractors, local authorities, landowners and waste producers.

Finally, thank you to all our clients, associates and suppliers; you are our sunshine!
