Waste
Recycling Group and May Gurney Partnership...
The last 12 months has seen the
completion of Robert Long Consultancy’s third year of working for the
Waste Recycling Group/May Gurney partnership in the capacity of
Engineering Consultants. The contract has been primarily managed from
the St Ives office, with the award of the contract coinciding with the
opening of the Cambridgeshire office in 1998. During the last three
years RLCL have worked on 19 different landfill sites for the
partnership in Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and
Cheshire. The scope of works undertaken by RLCL for the partnership
has included Engineering Design and Specification preparation,
Construction Quality Assurance (CQA), Surface Water Management design,
Health and Safety Plan preparation, negotiation with the Environment
Agency and the preparation of CQA reports for the works.
During the three year contract period key staff members from RLCL have
established and developed good working relations with Waste Recycling
Group, May Gurney and the Environment Agency staff. RLCL have been
commended on their flexibility, speed of response and working
relations by the partnership and we look forward to improving and
refining our systems to ensure continued client satisfaction.
Peter Foreman, Engineering Manager for May Gurney/WRG Partnership says
“Our partnership with WRG has always
benefited from the energy and landfill knowledge provided by Jon Clark
and his team from RLCL. There have been numerous occasions when last
minute design changes have strained the most professional of
characters!” |
