5th
year with May Gurney...
RLCL entered into a term agreement with May
Gurney for the fifth consecutive year in 2003. The agreement
covered the provision of CQA services for the Waste Recycling
Group (WRG) sites in the Anti-waste, Eastwaste and Lincwaste
regions. RLCLs brief included the assessment of proposed
designs, the preparation of CQA plans and CQA reports, the
provision of site CQA supervision, technical advice and liaison
with the Environment Agency. In total, 17 sites were allocated
to RLCL at the start of the year.
Site works in 2003 were scheduled to commence
around March but delays in the programme meant that the works
did not start in earnest until June. The good weather over the
summer and autumn period helped to bring the site works back on
programme and improved the mood of the CQA Engineers!
RLCL have had to provide an extremely flexible
and adaptable service to cope with the staffing demands of the
revised schedule for the site works, a challenge that has been
met by Jon Clark and the Engineering team at the St Ives office.
