RLCL successful in IPPC Permit issue

Site Conditioning Plans have been submitted..... the Landfill Regulations are now in force.....the next step is IPPC (Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control).

From October 2002 the Environment Agency will begin a prioritised request to Landfill Operators to prepare and submit their IPPC Applications.

RLCL has already prepared and successfully completed an IPPC application for Fair Oak Landfill Site, Hampshire, with the Permit being issued to SITA in July 2002.

This Permit was Landfill Directive Compliant, and was the first to be issued in the Southern Region. Nationwide it was one of four issued on the same day.

Preparing the application and getting to grips with the complexities of the new regime has involved close co-operation and liaison between RLCL and the Environment Agency.
